BIOGRAPHY
Emerging Indian-American mezzo-soprano Natasha Naik is a multifaceted and dynamic performer noted for the vocal warmth heard throughout her range. A passionate and committed storyteller, notable roles include Mad Margaret in Ruddigore (Cimarron Opera Company), Fenena in Nabucco (Opera Ithaca), Scribe/Maria Maddelena in Galileo Galilei (Cincinnati Conservatory MainStage), Dorabella in Così fan tutte (University of Oklahoma), Mercédès in Carmen (Cincinnati Conservatory French Opera Gala), Mezzo-soprano/Detective 3 in Murder at the Opera (Cimarron Opera Company) and Queen of the Fairies in Iolanthe (Cimarron Opera Company).
Outside of opera, Natasha has performed in Educational Outreach Tours, Musical Theatre, Art Song, and Shakespeare. In 2024 she premiered three art songs and was a member of the third place winning team of Central Texas songSLAM with the song ‘Laundromat: A Tale’.
In addition to her work as a performer, she is an arts administrator, stage director, props designer, and stage manager. Natasha is the Outgoing Artistic Director for Cimarron Opera Company and the Programs Manager for Cincinnati Song Initiative.
